Kay Watkins


Kay has been the Director of HTPP since its second year of operation, 2007.  She joined us from Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation where she retired as Cultural Arts Supervisor.  She is a professional storyteller and the mother of one grandson.  


Heather Horne

Communications Director

Heather has a degree in Psychology from Georgia State. She was a nanny for 2 different families, one in Los Angeles, and one here in Atlanta, before starting a family of her own. She has been a Holy Trinity parent for 7 years, and is starting her 3rd year here in the office. She also helps her husband run his own appraisal business.

Carrie Eingurt

Curriculum Director

Carrie is our Curriculum Director. Carrie received her B.S. in Nutrition from Syracuse University and her Master’s of Education from the University of California, Los Angeles. She taught Kindergarten at Coralwood School for DeKalb County Schools for 4 years as well as 3rd grade for 2 years and nutrition education to students in urban schools in New York. Carrie was also a teacher here at Holy Trinity for two years.

Pre-K Teachers


Anne Baca

Anne holds her BS in Elementary Education from SUNY Geneseo. She joins the HTPP staff with 10 years of teaching experience having taught 4th grade, 1st grade, and 3rd grade. She lives in Decatur with her husband and 3 children.


Sandra Hyde

Sandra is one of our most veteran teachers.  She has been at Holy Trinity for 11 years.  She is the busy mother of five children, so she brings much personal experience to her classroom.

5-Day 4 Year-Olds Teachers

Sahnika has been at Holy Trinity for over 11 years, teaching in a variety of classrooms.  She is currently the lead teacher for our 4 year old class and also serves as Assistant Director for summer camps and Lunch Bunch Coordinator during the school year.  Sahnika is a mother of 4 children.  She received her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from GA Piedmont Technical College, and is currently working on her Bachelor’s in Education at GA State.

israt-2016 Israt Ahmed

Israt is originally from Bangladesh, and has 2 children.  She has her Child Development Associate (CDA) from the Child Care Education Institute and passed the GACE exams.  She came to us from Kids @ Rehoboth and currently teaches with Sahnika in our 4 year old class.

5-Day 2 Year-Olds Teachers

 Tomeka_Ragsdale Tomeka Ragsdale

Tomeka teaches our 5-day 2-year-old class along with Jaumekia. They have taught together at Holy Trinity for the past 11 years! Tomeka previously attended Georgia State University for a degree in public relations. During her college years she served as an AmeriCorps member helping refugee families transition to American life. Tomeka keeps busy as a mother to active twin boys.

Jaumekia has been working with Ms. Tomeka now for 11 years, the longest teacher partnership we have!   She attended classes at Georgia Piedmont Technical College (then DeKalb Technical College) where Ms. Kay taught (and consequently met Ms. Jaumekia).  Jaumekia also nannies in the afternoons and has a son who graduated from our PreK program.


5-Day 3 and Four Year-Olds

Beth McWilliams

Beth received her B.S. in Education with an emphasis on Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Georgia in 1999. She worked for Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation for 20 years creating children, family and adult programming. Her specialty has been summer camp, inclusive programming and special event planning. She is blessed to have two special girls, Sarah and Ruby.

 Royce Mitchell

Royce Mitchell

Royce, the baby of nine children, has 10 nieces and nephews. He teaches our young 4′s. He worked as a tutor at Price Middle School, spring ’07 and began subbing at Holy Trinity in 2008, before becoming a full-time teacher here.  He is currently pursuing a degree in Health and Wellness.

5-Day 3 Year-Olds

Whitney Cheek

Whitney is Co-Teacher for 5 day 3 year olds. Whitney worked at Southern Living Magazine as a Test Kitchen Specialist in order to work with famed chef Frank Stitt. She has a degree from Culinard-Culinary Institute of Birmingham at Birmingham, Alabama.  She is the proud mom of 2 children, and lives in Decatur.

Kolby Sanders-Lewis

Kolby is Co-Teacher for 5 day 3 year olds. She is a mom of two kiddos, a boy and a girl.  She holds a BA in Biology and a Minor in Music from Agnes Scott and a Masters in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University. Kolby previously worked at CDC in the Division of Parasitic Diseases and then had her own business here in Decatur called Wiggle – a children’s clothing boutique. Kolby joined HTPP as a sub before becoming a permanent part of the staff.

Natasha Stark

Natasha has experience at both ends of the education spectrum!  For several years, she worked in Admissions at Agnes Scott College, and spent the last 4 years teaching preschool.  She is the mom of both an 11 year old boy at Renfroe Middle, and of a fluffy Persian cat.  In addition to teaching, Natasha owns an artisan jam company called Kitchen Witch Foods, and spends much of her free time dreaming up new flavors!


Tia Matthews

Tia Matthews has been teaching 2 and 3 year olds for the last three years and was a sub at Holy Trinity before that.  She also is the office manager/co-owner of Gourmet Express Catering with her husband, Gary!  Tia is one busy woman as she is also the mother of 3 children who attend Drew Charter School.

3-Day 2 Year-Olds, 2-Day 16-28 Month-Olds


Christian Barriere

Christian has worked with children since she was 15 years old, and has taught for the last 6 years.  She has experience with infants to teenagers, and she and her husband, Donald, are CoLeaders of the elementary school children’s ministry at their church.  They are also the proud parents of 4 children, two boys and two girls!



Debi Lewis

Debi is Co-Teacher for M-W-F and Tu-Th for our youngest students. Debi graduated from Atlanta Tech with Early Childcare Education. She has been at Holy Trinity for the past four years as well as an After-School Program Assistant-Director. She is also currently a Youth Director at her church. Debi is the baby of eight children.

Specials Teachers

  Lauren Ladov

Lauren has been a food educator for 4 years, growing and cooking food with students of all ages. She also works with farms, markets and organizations to help cultivate a strong and equitable local food system. When not in a garden, she is foraging fruit or making plant-based medicine.   Laura graduated from Emory and just completed a year in India on a National Geographic Fulbright.


 Laura McMahan 

In addition to being our Music Teacher, Laura is now our Lead Teacher for Globetrotting, our cultural diversity program.  She graduated from Georgia Southern with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. After college she sang with The Augusta Opera and then moved back to the Atlanta area to be closer to family. Laura teaches private piano lessons in Oakhurst and loves to sing with the Oakhurst Community Choir. She and her husband love to travel, especially for music and have even been to a Music Festival in Switzerland! Laura is also an animal advocate with two dogs and loves gardening.

Greg Ward

Greg is our Librarian, working to organize our books and to handle our Scholastic orders which result in our receiving free books for our library and individual classrooms. Greg is also our man-of-all-trades, putting together equipment and helping our school to be a welcome and friendly place.


 Joy Parks Miraglia

Joy is the mother of 3 children: Gia (currently at HTPP), Ford, and Abby.  She is a realtor for Keller Williams which allows her the flexibility to volunteer at each of her children’s school. In addition to volunteering as Holy Trinity’s Head Room Mom, Joy also serves in the Mother’s Club at St. Pius and on the Gala Committee at St. Thomas More, where she is also a parishioner.  Joy is an Atlanta native, a self-described foodie, and enjoys reading, creative writing, British TV, and is also an avid concert-goer.
