Special Classes
ART:
Our accelerated art class concentrates on creative works for our fun-raisers, "keepsale" crafts and projects to enhance the learning environment.
EXPLORATORIUM:
Specifically designed for our Pre-K classes, and created based on the wide range of learning abilities which exist within children, three children at a time are selected to participate in small group activities outside of the classroom which concentrate on specific subjects and skills.
GLOBE TROTTING:
Students are exposed to different cultures through language, music, crafts and foods by concentrating on specific countries or regions which change throughout the school year.
MUSIC:
All students enjoy music twice a week during a regular scheduled session. Music includes movement, activities, song-stories and more.
GARDENING:
This accelerated science program occurs once a week for every student. Children enjoy planting, cultivating, creating "garden art" and learning about our green earth.
DANCING TOTS:
Dancing Tots offers dance classes on a weekly basis, teaching ballet to 3 year-olds (as of 9/1/2001) and up. Our own Giselle Caban, who also teaches at Atlanta Ballet, will lead this class. It will be held on Wednesdays, during the Lunch Bunch hour, and is an extra fee payable to Giselle Caban.
