Holy Trinity Parish Preschool

Fundraising Opportunities

As a school, we average $9,000 a year in fun-raising activities ($1,000 a month during school months) in simple, painless fun-raisers. That's why we call them FUN-RAISERS. These funds support many things that make our school unique such as: resource teachers - Gardening, Globe Trotting, Music and Art; capital improvements such as the pavers on Ponce, our playground teepee and expansion, and GAB BAGS.

Party Like a Preschooler: This fun-raiser, set for a Saturday in April (stay tune for the date) is the best silent auction in town! Other activities include a cake walk (always a favorite), crafts and games especially designed for children and a Bounce. Once we set the date, be sure to mark your calendar: students from years past always attend because they know how wonderful the event is!

Original Works: Each child creates an original piece of art that is transformed into a magnet. You can buy the magnet (or not) and other products such as garden flags, aprons, trivets, holiday ornaments and more.

Flower Sales: Three times a year we offer parents and children the opportunity to purchase lovely carnations for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day and our Dance Class Performance. Most of the money from sales goes to HTPP.

Mabel's Labels: One of the hardest things as a parent is to keep up with your child's "stuff". To make this easier, we partner with a company called Mabel's Labels to make labels available for you to purchase. These labels are dishwasher safe and user friendly . We receive a commission payment at the end of our campaign, so please order enough to last you through the year. Go to holytrinity.mabel.ca to place your order.

Labels for Education: We collect UPC codes and bottle caps from hundreds of participating products. These include, but are not limited to: Campbell's, Pepperidge Farm, Pop Secret and Post products. Simply cut off the label, drop it in the box (we have one in the main reception area of the church and on both floors of the preschool).

Scholastic Book Orders: Ordering through Scholastic is an inexpensive way to order books. We distribute book orders monthly and you can order your books online. We receive the books and get them to you promptly. This is a great way to build your child's library at a very low price for some of the best children's books on the market.

My Hometown Car Deal: By using My Hometown Car Deal and tagging your purchase to HTTP, you receive corporate pricing and VIP treatment while HTPP receives $75-$300 a car. To tag your purchase, send an email to michael.hughes@mhcardeal.com with the subject as: HTPP_your last name. Include your name and contact information. Michael Hughes will contact you to help you identify and evaluate your options and to "tag" you to HTPP at the appropriate partnering dealership.

School Photos: A percentage of sales is earned for every class and individual photos that you purchase. We also host a Family Photo Day on a Saturday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Schedule your family time with Ms. Kay. Our photographer will make Christmas cards or family photos or both. There is no sitting fee for family photo day.

Holy Cow: For the past three years we have joined Chick-fil-A for Spirit Nights at the Downtown Decatur location at 105 Trinity Place. From 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on our designated Spirit Nights, Chick-fil-A donates a percentage of their sales to our school. You can even use the drive-thru! Chick-fil-A calendars, which include over $30 in coupons, are also sold through our school. HTPP receives $3 for each calendar sold.

Avondale Pizza: We celebrate spirit lunch and dinner at Avondale Pizza, a local restaurant who has always been very supportive of HTPP! Avondale Pizza gives us 10% of all sales from 12-2 pm AND 5-7 pm. Last year the school generated over $500 from our spirit days with Avondale Pizza.

Honey Baked Ham: This is a WOW of a fun-raiser. The school receives 20% of each gift certificate sold and the best part is the gift certificates can be used anywhere in the United States. This makes them great for Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts!

Do-Unto-Others: We have several programs we host during the year to help charities, many of them within our own community. You are welcome to, and we hope you will, participate. These include, but are not limited to: St. Jude's Recycled Card Program, Nets for Life and a Canned Food Drive.

Scholarship Fund: We currently need support for many of our students who attend the school but need a partial (or full scholarship). Because of the love and dedication George Tyrones gave to Holy Trinity we have named our scholarship fund in his honor. You may donate one month's tuition (on average $250/month) or even a small donation of $10 will go to helping our deserving parents and students. Please make checks out to Holy Trinity Preschool and send them to 515 E. Ponce de Leon Ave; Decatur GA 30030...in care of Kay Watkins.
